Correction and Retraction Policy
The Journal of Physiotherapy Directories is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and accuracy of the scholarly record. When errors or ethical concerns arise, appropriate corrective actions will be taken in accordance with established publishing standards.
1. Corrections (Erratum / Corrigendum)
If a published article contains minor errors that do not significantly affect the results, conclusions, or overall integrity of the work, a formal correction will be issued.
Corrections may be published in cases of:

Minor data inaccuracies

Author name or affiliation errors

Minor methodological clarifications
The correction notice will be linked to the original article and clearly state the changes made. The original article will remain accessible with appropriate notification.
2. Retractions
An article may be retracted if significant issues are identified that compromise the reliability, validity, or ethical integrity of the work.
Retraction may occur in cases of:

Plagiarism

Data fabrication or falsification

Ethical violations

Duplicate publication

Serious methodological errors affecting conclusions

Unethical research practices
A retraction notice will:

Clearly state the reason for retraction

Be linked to the original article

Remain permanently available online
The retracted article will remain accessible but will be clearly marked as "Retracted" to maintain the scholarly record.
3. Expressions of Concern
If serious concerns are raised but an investigation is ongoing, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern while the matter is being reviewed.
4. Author and Institutional Involvement
Authors will be informed of any concerns and given an opportunity to respond. In cases of serious misconduct, the journal may contact the authors’ affiliated institutions for further investigation.
5. Editorial Responsibility
All decisions regarding corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be made by the Editor-in-Chief based on evidence, ethical guidelines, and best publishing practices.
